Gunnam Foods
About This Spot
Stepping into Gunnam Foods feels like entering a quiet corner of India nestled right in Chantilly. It’s the kind of place where the pace slows down, inviting you to settle in and savor the moment. The air is filled with the gentle warmth of spices—nothing overwhelming, just the right hint to awaken your senses and promise a thoughtfully prepared meal. The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual ease and heartfelt hospitality, a neighborhood gem where familiarity grows with each visit.
The dining experience here is less about rushing through a meal and more about reconnecting with comfort and tradition. Behind the scenes, you can sense the care of someone who has long nurtured these flavors, bringing homemade touches to every plate. Butter chicken gently braised to richness, vegetable thalis brimming with carefully selected seasonal ingredients, and fragrant biryanis that unfold slowly with every bite—all feel like meals shared around a family table.
Gunnam Foods also offers a quiet celebration of simpler pleasures through its charming selection of Indian sweets and pickles. The delicate texture of a milk-based kalakand or the tender sweetness of gulab jamun complements the savory dishes, while the tangy pickles add a spark of brightness, each jar telling its own story through layered flavors.
What makes this spot linger in your memory is not just what’s on the plate but the human moments woven throughout the dining experience. It’s about the welcoming nod, the gentle attentiveness, and the shared smiles that make you feel genuinely seen. Gunnam Foods isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a pause, a quiet discovery, a moment of warmth in the rhythms of everyday life.

Rajini's just opened up across the street from where I work so I dropped in to check it out. They were not fully open yet but the Gentleman offered me a generous plate of spicy delicious chicken, an awesome vegetable soup, yogurt, rice, bread, and a sweet treat for only $8.99. Well worth it! The owner told me his wife does the cooking and that she had been doing catering for years. Fast forward to today and he shows up at my work with free food for me and all of my co-workers! Today we had Chicken Biryani , yogurt, spicy chicken, and sweets. Anyways these guys are super nice and serve very tasty food. Check them out!

It's the best keep secret but need more exposure because Rajani's Kitchen is a very cozy to sit and eat and the food is so awesome. The owner is very customer friendly and quite amusing. If you looking for authentic Indian food, look no further...a secret hidden restaurant.
